A new start for M.E…
…is our new fundraising campaign which supports our vision to make the highest levels of clinical and compassionate care available to people with CFS/ME. We are already funding life transforming care and aim to create a CFS/ME Centre of Excellence, the first of it’s kind in the UK. The centre will offer a deep understanding of the illness and care for the person in body, mind and spirit.
Please help support this landmark campaign and help us provide specialist care for people desperately waiting for their new start. Thank you to the following individuals whose fundraising activities are already helping people with this devastating illness.
Cathy’s Cross-Country Ski Marathon
Cathy completed a 26 mile cross-country ski marathon in the Dolmitenlauf, in the Italian Alps. Her aim was to complete the race in less than 6 hours – and she did it! Brava and grazie!
Sarah’s Walk from Abingdon to Windsor
Sarah was diagnosed with M.E. in 2008 and at times was crippled with pain and unable to take even a few steps around the garden. She walked along the Thames Path from Abingdon to Windsor over 4 days, covering a total of 65 miles. Well done and thank you, Sarah!
Baking a difference
A friend of the M.E. Trust gave people with CFS/ME a ‘new start’ by baking a difference at work! Gingerbreads in the likeness of his boss were sold to staff – and he didn’t get the sack! His boss even bought 2 – one for each of her kids and there was much amusement all round. The angry boss ones went down particularly well. Thank you for your tasty contribution!
