The ME Trust is looking for Doctors to Join its Service

The ME Trust is looking for doctors to join its service. A doctor joining the team would be self-employed and may be able to offer just one session a month or up to a session or two a week.

The M.E. Trust is the UK’s only charity dedicated to funding and providing individual patient treatment for people with ME/CFS. We provide telephone (or Skype) consultations for people with ME/CFS nationwide, from our multidisciplinary team comprising doctor, physiotherapist, counsellors and chaplains. We can sometimes offer home visits depending on location and the time available of the team member. We are CQC registered and have an outpatient clinic once a month at Crowborough Hospital.

We offer a holistic approach and a doctor joining the team would be able to walk alongside patients who desperately need compassionate support and sensible medical advice in the midst of all the conflicting and confusing treatments and advice on offer. An individual tailored approach is needed for each person as ‘one size definitely does not fit all’. Even if you have very little experience in ME/CFS, we will endeavour that you get the support and training you require.

If you may be interested, or know of a colleague who may be interested, please contact Dr Paul Worthley for a chat to explore any possibilities. You will have the support and goodwill of the whole team with you. Would you consider passing this on to your own network of doctors and friends?

Thank you.
