Fundraising for The M.E. Trust
The M.E. Trust depends entirely on voluntary donations to help fund the inpatient and whole person care we provide to people with ME/CFS.
We are so thankful to all our wonderful supporters.Find out about our Current Fundraising Events
There are many ways for individuals, families, voluntary groups, churches and schools to get involved with supporting our work. From simply holding a fundraising coffee morning or an Afternoon Tea for M.E. with a cake stall to arranging a fundraising concert in a local church or school, you could be making a significant difference to the lives of people who might have been bedbound with ME/CFS for many years.
Please inform us if you plan to organise a fundraising event. We’d be pleased to help you publicise your event and then thank you by letting everyone know how you got on with a news story on our website.
Please contact us if you would like someone to come to your fundraising event to speak about the work of The M.E. Trust.
Some past Fundraising Events for The M.E. Trust
Cathy’s Cross-Country Ski Marathon
Cathy completed a 26 mile cross-country ski marathon in the Dolmitenlauf, in the Italian Alps. Her aim was to complete the race in less than 6 hours – and she did it! Brava and grazie!
Sarah’s Walk from Abingdon to Windsor
Sarah was diagnosed with M.E. in 2008 and at times was crippled with pain and unable to take even a few steps around the garden. She walked along the Thames Path from Abingdon to Windsor over 4 days, covering a total of 65 miles. Well done and thank you, Sarah!
Baking a difference
A friend of the M.E. Trust gave people with CFS/ME a ‘new start’ by baking a difference at work! Gingerbreads in the likeness of his boss were sold to staff – and he didn’t get the sack! His boss even bought 2 – one for each of her kids and there was much amusement all round. The angry boss ones went down particularly well. Thank you for your tasty contribution!
